About
#movethedial has partnered with McKesson Canada for the inaugural #movethedial Scholarship For Women in STEM, which supports the work and achievements of Canadian women in their chosen fields of study. The scholarship is administered by The Walrus Lab, the client-services division of The Walrus.
The program will offer four scholarships of $5,000 and tickets to the #movethedial Global Summit to women pursuing university studies in STEM fields. Funding for the scholarships is provided by McKesson Canada. The winners will be announced at the #movethedial Global Summit on November 14, 2019, in Toronto. As part of your application, you will automatically be entered to win a ticket to the #movethedial Global Summit in November 2019.
Eligibility
Applicants are asked to submit, in an online form, key information, including a 400-word essay outlining their efforts to improve diversity in technology and how the Scholarship For Women in STEM will help them achieve their goals.
Furthermore, each applicant must:
a) be enrolled in an undergraduate STEM field of study (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) at an accredited Canadian university or college
b) be a resident of Canada who identifies as a woman
c) be in good academic standing
d) allow their name and image to be used wherever the scholarship program is mentioned
Selection Committee
The selection committee to choose the four winners of the scholarship will be comprised of members of McKesson Canada and the #movethedial community.
